  • Negative Feeback

    What do these systems have in common: an audio amplifier, a centrifugal governor, regulation of pH level of blood, a servo motor? As diverse as these examples are, they share the same control mechanism: negative feedback. The formal theory on negative feedback was developed by Harold Black in the 1920s when investigating amplifiers that could support higher bandwidths.
